May your unfailing love be my comfort, according to your promise to your servan

Yesterday was Ken Balcom’s last day of radiation.  We are believing that all the cancer has been eradicated from his body.  However, radiation and chemotherapy are very hard on patients.         Earlier this week Ken passed out from severe dehydration. This seemed really bad, but as it happens, during their testing process the emergency room doctors discovered a blood infection.  Thankfully, he is now on antibiotics to treat the infection before it becomes a worse problem.         Ken and Peggie are both exhausted from this journey.  Peggie is taking a few days off to take care of Ken.   Please pray for both of them to regain their strength and that their peace and joy will not falter.  They both have expressed how good the Lord has been to them during this health crisis!         Also, please keep our Assistant House Mother, Summer, in your prayers as she shoulders the majority of the responsibility for our Hope House residents.           We know that many of you pray for this ministry on a daily basis.  What a comfort it is to know that you are lifting us before the mighty throne of God!           On another note, our Baby Bottle Drive only has two more weeks!  Remember to fill your baby bottles and return them to church on Mother’s Day - May 10th.  The church that raises the most money will get to hang our beautiful Champions Banner in their church until next year.  Nutrioso Bible Church was our 2014 winner!
