What is the color powder made of?

The color powder is food-grade quality corn starch and FD&C and/or D&C colors. FD&C means that the colors are approved by the FDA for use in food, drugs and cosmetics. D&C means that the colors can be used in drugs and cosmetics, but not food. The color powder is non-toxic and non-hazardous.

Does the color powder wash off?

Yes! It washes off easily. However, it may stain clothing.

Show Low

CHECK IN begins at 9:30 AM at Hopeful Treasures Resale Boutique (1901 E. Deuce of Clubs). Walk 4 Life and Color Run starts at 10:30 AM. There is an option to not have color powder thrown on you. The course is approximately 2 miles from Hopeful Treasures Resale Boutique to the “Old Pavilion” in Show Low Park. There will be snacks available after the walk/run!

The Deuce of Clubs, from Holiday Inn Express to Dairy Queen, will be closed due to "Derby Down the Deuce" beginning at 7:40 am and not reopening until 10:30 am, so you may have to take a detour to get to the boutique. Please plan accordingly!

The entire walk/run will occur on the sidewalk. NO lanes on the road will be blocked off NOR will there be a police escort. This means you will need to follow all traffic laws when crossing intersections. The course will be marked with colorful signs and we will have people posted at busy intersections to assist with crossing. Safety is the most important thing to remember and there will be many, many drivers due to Show Low Days.

The awards ceremony will take place at the stage inside Show Low Days at 12:30 pm or soon thereafter. It does cost $1 per person to attend Show Low Days. If you earn a swag bag, you will find a free admittance ticket inside as well as a meal voucher from a specified vendor.

Since the race will end at the Old Pavilion inside Show Low Park, you may consider parking a vehicle by the park or plan on catching the Four Seasons Connection which has a stop at the Aquatic Center every hour at H:54 or at Safeway at H:57 and does drop off at the boutique. Exact change is required and the prices are as follows:

  • Regular fare — $1.00
  • Ages 60+ — $0.50
  • Children under 5 — Free

Show Low Days is a blast. Please consider attending these other events before or after ours! :) For more details, visit http://showlowdays.com/all-events/
