How does Hope House Maternity Home help pregnant women?
Hope House Maternity Home is a safe place for pregnant mothers to stay if they are homeless or not receiving the support they need. Up to four moms and their children can stay at Hope House at a time. What is unique about Hope House compared to other maternity homes is that:
we do not place a time limit on a mom’s stay, and
she can bring her children with her
Through the Hope House program, a resident is lovingly supported and mentored by onsite staff and volunteers. She sets goals for herself, learns life skills, builds her savings, and works toward living independently and successfully. Plus, she receives a part-time job at our thrift store, Hopeful Treasures Resale Boutique, to receive on-the-job training, build her resume, and receive income to put into savings.
